Young will fulfill the role of Chief Nursing Officer at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor, Livingston and Saline hospitals.
Saint Joseph Mercy Health System (SJMHS) is pleased to introduce Joyce Young, RN, MS, CENP as the new vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer (CNO) for Saint Joseph Mercy Health System. As CNO, Joyce will oversee quality and standards of patient care, performance improvement, program management operations, nursing budget and resource allocation at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor, Livingston and Saline. She began her duties on January 14, 2011.
“Throughout her career, Joyce has a proven track record for nursing and clinical excellence as CNO of three organizations,” says Rob Casalou, president and CEO, St. Joseph Mercy Hospitals. “Her focus on high clinical performance and patient satisfaction aligns perfectly with St. Joe’s goals and objectives.”
For the past five years, Young has been the CNO of Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Prior to that, she was the CNO of Battle Creek Health System from 2000 to 2005, and CNO of Central Kansas Medical Center from 1997 to 2000. She began her career as a manager at Marian Health Center.
