Platelet-Oriented Inhibition in New TIA and Minor Stroke (POINT) Trial
Description of Research
The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of taking low-dose aspirin, versus a combination of low-dose aspirin and clopidogrel (also known as Plavix ®).

Inclusion/Notes
Participants in the study have just had a minor ischemic stroke or transient ischemic attack (TIA) also known as a mini-stroke. A stroke due to blocked blood supply to a part of the brain is referred to as ischemic.
