Edward J. Kakish, DO
Dr. Edward J. Kakish received his Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts at Wayne State University and then graduated with a degree in Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, Michigan. Before coming to St. Mary Mercy Livonia, he served as Core Faculty and Medical Student Director with the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at St. John Hospital and Medical Center. He then joined the University of Pittsburg Medical Center’s International division and served as Educational Coordinator and Medical Director for an Emergency Medicine/Trauma enhancement project in Doha, Qatar. Dr. Kakish joined St. Mary Mercy Livonia’s Graduate Medical Education Department as Assistant Program Director and Assistant Medical Director for the Emergency Department. He then became the Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director. His interests are Trauma and International Emergency Medicine. Dr. Kakish is originally from the Southeast Michigan area and is married with two children.
