Program Director Anthony Vettraino, MD, received a Bachelor Degree in Zoology from the University of Michigan. He attended medical school and graduated from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine residency at Providence Hospital where he was elected as chief resident during his final year of residency.
He initially began his career in private practice in which during this time he was voluntary faculty at numerous local family medicine residencies. After eight years of private practice, he became full-time Family Medicine Faculty. Dr. Vettraino has served as Associate Program Director and Program Director for over 20 years at local residency institutions. He has a special interest in the care of older patients and holds a certificate of added qualifications in Geriatrics.
Additionally Dr. Vettraino has interests in computers and modern technology in Medicine in which he has served as a consultant for a medical information technology company. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Michigan State Medical Society and the American Geriatrics Society. View physician profile.

Maria San Juan, MD Maria San Juan, MD received her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan, followed by her Medical Degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine. She completed a Family Medicine residency at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan.
After graduation, Dr. San Juan worked at a Providence Hospital satellite location in Northville. She then joined a private practice in Farmington Hills where she cared for patients for 15 years.
In early 2012, Dr. San Juan joined Canton Family Medicine as part of the St. Mary Mercy Hospital Family Medicine Residency Faculty. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians. View physician profile.

Jessica Sharon, DO Dr. Sharon received her undergraduate degree in Physiology from Michigan State University, East Lansing, Michigan. She is a 2005 graduate of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM). She completed her Family Practice residency through Southern Illinois University at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Illinois, where she received additional training in Obstetrics.
After graduation, Dr. Sharon worked for St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor at their Family Practice clinic in Dundee, Michigan, and at an indigent care clinic in Macomb County. She joined the faculty staff at Canton Family Practice in July 2012. Her previous experience includes teaching gross anatomy to kinesiology students at Michigan State University and physician assistants, nurse anesthetists, and osteopathic medical students at UNECOM.
Dr. Sharon is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Michigan Academy of Family Physicians.
