St. Mary Mercy Hospital will host a presentation called “Diabetes and the Benefits of Exercise” on Wednesday, April 13, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the hospital’s Auditorium.
According to the American Diabetes Association, exercise is beneficial if you have type 2 diabetes because it can help manage the disease and prevent serious diabetes-related complications. At this presentation, participants will learn and explore the benefits of exercise as a means to control their diabetes and improve their overall health. Participants will have the opportunity to try some of the recommended exercises.
This is a St. Mary Mercy Hospital Diabetes Support Group presentation, however all are welcome. A new topic is presented on the second Wednesday of each month for adults with diabetes and family members. There is no charge, and pre-registration is not required. Call Community Outreach at 734-655-8955 or
