New Emergency Center Opens at St. Mary Mercy
Start Date
St. Mary Mercy Hospital opened its new Emergency Center to patients at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, November 14.

Located in the new addition on the southwest side of campus, the new Emergency Center has more than 50 clinical rooms that include private treatment rooms and an expanded Senior ER. The new Emergency Center features include a “racetrack” layout where private patient rooms surround the clinical work area. A new helipad was also constructed next to the new Emergency Center.

The new Emergency Center is within St. Mary Mercy’s newest building, a 154,000-square-foot addition that also contains two floors of 80 private patient rooms. The private rooms opened to patients on Monday, November 5. The hospital is also renovating the semi-patient rooms in the North Wing, converting most of them into private rooms.

St. Mary Mercy Hospital has placed new external signs that direct visitors to the new Emergency Center. To get to the new Emergency Center, visitors should enter the far south drive off of Levan Road. The previous location of St. Mary Mercy’s Emergency Center is now closed.

“Our new Emergency Center enhances the quality care we deliver when minutes matter most,” said Dave Spivey, President and CEO. “Together with our new private patient rooms in our new addition, St. Mary Mercy Hospital is better positioned to serve our communities for years to come.”
