Dr. Makela is one of a select group of surgeons who have special training using the daVinci® Surgical System, a sophisticated robotic platform designed to enable surgeons to perform minimally invasive procedures. The daVinci Surgical System uses vary small incisions and enables surgeons to maneuver instrumentation with precise control. Patients who undergo a daVinci surgery for pelvic pain typically experience shorter operation times, shorter hospital stay and minimal scarring.
