The Spiritual Care Team of St. Mary Mercy Hospital assists patients and their families by their visits, pastoral counseling, prayer, and the sacraments of reconciliation and the anointing of the sick. They also offer devotional materials upon request. Chaplains provide spiritual services accessible to all persons and sensitive to religious diversity and beliefs. The team helps the patient and his/her family give perspective and personal meaning to pain and suffering as well as discusses ethical/moral issues which may arise when making medical treatment decisions.
