SJMO Urgent Care-Birmingham Treats Many Non-Emergency Conditions
Pontiac, Mich.—St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) will host an open house for the community at its newest urgent care facility, SJMO Urgent Care-Birmingham from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 5. The new urgent care center is located at 2110 E. Maple Rd., just east of Eton Street. Hours are 7 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.
Free blood pressure checks, giveaways, refreshments and tours will be offered at the open house.
Board-certified and board-eligible physicians provide treatment for any urgent health care need, including cuts, sprains, fevers, earaches and sore throats.
Treatment also is available for minor asthma-related symptoms; minor cuts; animal bites; broken bones (unless bone is showing or limb is deformed); rashes; burns; illness with nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea; eye infections and bladder infections.
The SJMO Urgent Care-Birmingham also offers sports and school physicals, employee health services, vaccines, pregnancy testing, lab tests, X-rays (with physician order), bronchitis, and treatment for allergies, ear infection, pinkeye (with physician order) and sties, sinus infections, strep throat, swimmer’s ear, athlete’s foot, cold sores, deer tick bites (age 12+), impetigo, poison ivy, ringworm and wart removal.
