St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron Executive Honored
PETER KARADJOFF ELECTED TO AMERCIAN COLLEGE OF HEALTHCARE EXECUTIVE COUNCIL OF REGENTS
Port Huron, MI…St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron is pleased to announce that President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Karadjoff, FACHE, has been elected to the Council of Regents of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). The Council of Regents is a legislative body that serves as a link between the ACHE and affiliates by approving governance and membership regulations as well as promoting programs, services and activities.
The ACHE is an international professional society of more than 30,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations. ACHE is known for its credentialing and educational programs and its annual Congress of Healthcare Leadership.
Also a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) Karadjoff will take office at the Council of Regents meeting in March 2011, in Chicago, Ill, during the ACHE’s 54th Congress of Healthcare Leadership. As a Regent, Karadjoff will represent ACHE’s membership in Michigan.
A health care professional for 25 years, with an MBA from Wayne State University, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Western Michigan University, Karadjoff has served as the chief executive at St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron since 2003. Prior to this position, Karadjoff served as Vice President of Operations Improvement for Trinity Health of Novi, MI, and various leadership positions with Providence Hospital, Southfield, MI.
Karadjoff’s board memberships include: Michigan Healthcare Executive Group of Associates (past president); Michigan Hospital Association (MHA) Legislative Policy Panel; ACHCE Diplomat and National Chapters Committee, Regent’s Award: Early Career Healthcare Executive (2004); Economic Development Alliance, St. Clair County; United Way of St. Clair County; St. Clair County Community College, M-TECSM; Baker College Board of Regents; Health Careers Academy of St. Clair County; and Thumb Rural Health Network
