ST. JOSEPH MERCY HOSPITAL CLOSES 16TH STREET ACCESS AT CATHERINE MCAULEY DRIVE FOR RE-PAVEMENT PROJECT
Port Huron, MI...St. Joseph Mercy Hospital announced that beginning Monday, June 20, 2011, Catherine McAuley Drive will be closed due to road re-pavement. Construction on this important access road, from 16th Street onto the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital campus, including access to Catholic Social Services and physician and specialist offices, is expected to be completed by Monday, June 27, 2011.
"This closure will effect all traffic entering the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital campus from 16th and 13th streets. As a result, temporary 16th Street detours will be in place, leading traffic to Beard Street, to 12th Street, and then to Vanderburgh Place, entering the campus via the north campus drive," explains Jason Fowler, Director of Facilities at St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron.
"There will also be a detour at Catherine McAuley and 13th Street, heading north, where traffic will be directed to Thomas Avenue and the campus entrance at 11th Street." he continues.
"We're pleased to be able to repair and repave this important campus access road," Fowler concludes. "It is always our goal to provide the safest, most accessible options for those visiting our campus."
