Radiology Services at Saint Joseph Mercy Health System (SJMHS) offer nine locations in Washtenaw, Livingston and Western Wayne Counties. For your convenience and to better serve your needs, some procedures such as X-rays, some CTs, MRIs, Nuclear Medicine and Ultrasound procedures are available during the evenings and on weekends in addition to daytime hours.
Saint Joseph Mercy Health System has a long-standing relationship for more than 45 years with Huron Valley Radiology, PC., a large, private group of about 40 board-certified, sub-specialized radiologists who provide 24/7 coverage at all locations. They are highly qualified and have training in all areas of diagnostic radiology, as well as advanced training in their areas of clinical expertise.
In addition to our radiologists, physician assistants, nurses, technologists and support personnel comprise the team who will be providing your care. Our radiologists and imaging staff are certified, highly skilled and focused on each patient's safety and comfort, including the lowest possible radiation dose.
All radiology procedure images are digital and immediately available on a Picture Archive and Communication System (PACS). This system enables the radiologist to provide a timely interpretation for procedures performed at any of our locations. The images are also immediately available to be viewed by the ordering physician and other medical personnel involved in your care. Your images also become part of your electronic medical record (EMR) at SJMHS. If you need to take your images and a report to another physician or health care facility not affiliated with SJMHS, they can be placed on a CD for your convenience. A timely report will be sent to your ordering physician after the procedure is interpreted and reviewed by the radiologist. Your physician will then review the radiologist's report and provide you with the results.
