Breast Cancer Support Group
Facilitated by a cancer professional, this support group provides emotional and social support for women with breast cancer. Women with breast cancer can teach each other about coping, resilience, surviving and triumphing in spite of adversity.

Prostate Cancer Support Group
Like most other cancers, coping with prostate cancer can be overwhelming. This support group is a self-help group for men who have experienced prostate cancer.

Massage may be helpful in reducing tension and pain. Swedish massage is very gentle and is often used to promote relaxation, improve blood flow, and relieve muscle tension. Inspirit Salon & Spa, located in the lobby of the main hospital, provides a FREE one hour Swedish massage for all oncology patients receiving treatment at St. Joe's. The cancer coupon must be signed by the physician prior to the therapist providing the service.
Attractive wigs, hats, turbans, and scarves are available at Inspirit Salon & Spa. A certified cosmetologist provides free head shavings and certified wig fitters will provide a FREE 1 hour wig consultation and fitting. Your first hair cut is complementary after your course of treatment has been completed and hair growth has resumed.
Genetic Counseling Service
Saint Joseph Mercy Health System now offers genetic counseling to help patients and families who have an increased risk for cancer. Learn more or schedule an appointment at 734-712-2978.
The Saint Joseph Mercy NutriCare Program has registered dietitians who specialize in helping people who have cancer.
