Jeffrey Mendelson, MD, Medical Director
Dr. Mendelson joined the St. Mary Mercy Hospital Medical Staff in 1996. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and fellowship trained in hip/knee reconstruction at Hospital for Special Surgery, Cornell Medical Center, Cornell, New York. Dr. Mendelson is also a Candidate Member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

John Cunningham, RN, Program Coordinator
John Cunningham first joined Saint Joseph Mercy Health System in1997. He worked in the orthopedic department at St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor before his arrival to St. Mary Mercy in 2015. John prides himself on making surgery a very personal experience by providing a hands-on approach to each surgical patient. He is dedicated to facilitating every aspect of a patient's surgical experience with a focus on patient satisfaction and safety. John has coached two of his own family members through joint replacement, providing a front row seat to the entire joint replacement process.
Following a patient's surgery, John manages an innovative rehabilitation program that provides patients the opportunity to work in a team atmosphere. The program has been awarded the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Blue Distinction Center for Knee and Hip Replacement based on criteria obtained from patient outcomes.
