Robin Allen, PT
Robin received a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from California State University in Fresno, California and has been practicing physical therapy since 1981. His personal love for biking translates to his physical therapy practice as he educates patients on the importance of staying physically fit and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Robin’s focus includes courses for manual therapy of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He is also an acute care therapist.

Julie Capra, PTA
Julie received an Associate of Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Mott Community College. She has been practicing physical therapy since 2001 and treats both inpatient and outpatient clients. Julie is the department leader in joint replacement rehabilitation protocols and works with joint replacement patients during and after their hospital stay, as well as, other patients who have become physically weakened from injury or disease.

Teri received an Associate of Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant from Kellogg Community College. She has been practicing physical therapy since 1985. She focuses her continuing education on geriatric exercise. Teri’s approach to geriatric treatment includes finding ways for aging patients to stay physically active and remain safe from injury after completion of their physical therapy program. Teri specializes in working with rehabilitation patients that have suffered strokes, motor vehicle accidents and other neurological disorders that may impact their daily activities.

Amy received a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University if Michigan – Flint and has been practicing physical therapy since 2001. Her years of experience include a special interest in the pathology of the ankle and knee, allowing her to provide focused treatment to her patients. Amy’s continuing education has centered on strain and counter-strain techniques. She is currently specializing in women’s health.

Kim received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Bowling Green State University in 1995. Kim enjoys working with pediatric clients. She has attended continuing education courses related to congenital muscular torticollis, assessment and treatment of the pediatric patient, and muscle energy techniques for the pelvis.

Chris is a graduate of Wayne State University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physical therapy. She has been practicing physical therapy since 1976 and is a department leader in manual therapy techniques, vestibular techniques and the pathology of the shoulder. Chris is passionate about patient education on osteoporosis prevention. She guides her patients to achieve relief from pain in their daily lives.

Julie DeMay, OTR
Julie is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University. She is a registered Occupational Therapist (OTR) and has been practicing occupational therapy since 1995. She has both inpatient and outpatient experience. She treats a variety of diagnosis and has experience in hand therapy, neuro. Rehabilitation and orthopedics.  She also performs pre-driving evaluations at Saint Joseph Livingston Hospital. Julie is the Site Leader for the Howell and Brighton clinics and has been with the St. Joes system since 2002.

Chris Smith, OTR
Chris is a graduate of the Occupational Therapy program at Western Michigan University and is a registered occupational therapist (OTR). She has been practicing hand and occupational therapy since 1976. Chris is certified in Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) and credentialed by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). She has taken continued education courses focused on visual and vestibular problems and has worked extensively with sensory integration and developmental delay in pediatric patients. Chris conducts pre-driving evaluations for therapy patients. She also leads the Stroke Club in Livingston County, promoting peer support for stroke survivors and caregivers.

Erin Saotome, MA, CCC-SLP
Erin is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University with a BA and MA in speech language pathology. She holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language – Hearing Association, and has been practicing since 2008. Erin is certified in Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT – Loud) for treatment of voice disturbances secondary to Parkinson’s disease. Her other areas of interest include working with patients who have had cerebrovascular accidents (CVA), traumatic brain injuries (TBI), disfluency (stuttering) and pediatrics. Erin is also competent in video-fluoroscopic studies of swallowing (VFSS) and Passey – Muir Speaking Valves (PMSV).
