We hope you will join us at the 30th annual St. Joseph Mercy Chelsea Auction, Polynesian Paradise, on Saturday, May 9, 2015. Your support will benefit the Behavioral Health Services inpatient wing. Your gifts for the event will support a program that is close to our hearts. And, close to home for patients and families.
In the early 1970's, our hospital built the first and only psychiatric wing in our community and continues to be the sole provider of this vital service. Our Unit has served as a haven to thousands who have sought treatment for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, addiction and thought disorders such as schizophrenia. Our expert staff has helped patients to attain safer, happier and more productive lives.
The environment for care is essential to healing. Investing in the look, amenities and flow of the BHS Unit will reassure patients who are seeking treatment, it will encourage family involvement when advised, and it will foster patients on their journey toward better health and quality of life.
We hope you will support this year's Auction. As always the event will offer both a live and silent auction, as well as a scrumptious dinner buffet, and will be a wonderful opportunity to see old friends and make new ones.
Most importantly, this time-honored tradition brings our community together to support vital services at St. Joe's Chelsea, and this year you will help us to maintain this important resource that makes a world of difference in people's lives.
We look forward to seeing you there!
