Our team of Physical Therapists and durable medical equipment (DME) providers complete an evaluation to determine the need for manual / power wheelchairs / scooters used to maximize mobility. The evaluation assesses strength, flexibility, balance, functional mobility (transfers, bed mobility and ambulation) and reviews the home environment and layout. After the evaluation is completed, the physical therapist and DME provider determine the device which best serves the patient's needs..
